Looking around I found

The Outsiders (1983) - There's been huge discussion on this book that my English teacher had us read. I remember I watched it in the theater when it was released and had to watch it again. Stay Gold and "do it for Johnny" (they were too cute)

Bring It (2014) this tv series no way could have been watched in 2014 but in 2024 I'm really enjoying the Dancing Dolls from Mississippi compete. I'm at the next season and remember Bimingham High as squad leader/captain and cheering them on. I think the locals expected more from me but it's not my genre until broken down into the count of eight. *standing at the window*

MY team! They were angry about a "missing" reference in the previous year. I was up for editor of the yearbook though.  Not my call.

I only chose the junior on the far left and Steffi on the far right was on my squad and proved worthy for her senior year.

Bring It Continued - (2015)

Dallas  Cowboys Cheerleaders (1979) I remember watching this movie when it aired. I had never heard of them and I didn't react much except to observe how they did tryouts and learned for halftime. I watched one season of their reality show for the same more recently (2006?) This time I watched it I wondered what would have happened if I had gone to Dallas in 1980 to tryout for fun. Probably wouldn't have made it but it would have been another experience/idea outside of California. Although "cheerleading" any of us back then could have done what they did. And that's what we looked like. We just weren't Miss Texas
